Jolien Popp McKinney, daughter of Frank and Lucinda Popp of Heber City, Utah, died peacefully on Feb. 4, 2002, in American Fork, Utah following complications of surgery. She celebrated her 74th birthday on Feb. 2, 2002, surrounded by her husband of 53 years, Richard Leslie McKinney, her five devoted children and most of her 23 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She is survived by her five children: Richele (Robert) Borchert and their children, Justin and Melyssa; Diane (Ed) Kellogg and their children, Amelia, Jeff and Brad; John Leslie (Jan) McKinney and their children, Rachel, Jeremy (Karissa), Andrew, Daniel, James, Shaliese, Phillip and Deborah; Patty (DeMar) Young and their children, Jenny (Micah), Matthew (Jessica), Wendy (Christian) and Chrissy; and Cindy Lou (Keith) Young and their children, Angie, Lon (Kimberly), Ashley, Leslie Jo, Lance and Kyle and great-grandchildren Jordan, Kylee, Emily, Joshua and Kaleb. Her life was filled with many friends who will also miss her dearly. She enjoyed bowling each week with friends, had a thriving Avon business, nurtured friendship with fellow world-travelers, and maintained friendships formed during her long service with AT&T. The family invites friends to join them in honoring Jolien on Thursday, February 7 at 10:30 a.m. at Anderson & Sons Mortuary, 49 E. 100 N., American Fork; where friends may also call Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and for one hour prior to the services on Thursday. Burial will be in the Heber Cemetery at 3:00 p.m.
