Weekend Traffic Toll in Missouri is 10
Five Men Killed in Crash Near Varsailles.
By the Associated Press
Ten persons were killed in traffic accidents in Missouri over the weekend.
Five men lost their lives in a one-car accident south of Versaillles. The victims were Charles H. Hopper, 42, of Kansas City, the driver; Kenneth E. Hicks, 45, of Denver; Ralph Yurka, 41, of Tempe, Ariz; Bill Joe Burnett, 25, of Wichita; and Richard Kubik, 27, of Omaha.
They were employes of the D.W.G. Cigar Corp., in Detroit, and had attended a sales meeting at a resort just off Morgan County Rout 0.
The highway patrol said a rear tire blowout may have caused the car to go over the top of an embankment where it struck a tree. The top of the car was crushed.
