- [S109] Compiled by Leland M. & Alta A. Dayton, Family Records of Hiram Dayton, (Sept. 1961), Page 247.
She was slender, tall and stately, with deep set, penetrating eyes, and was most particular about her person and clothes. She was a fine seamstress, a meticulous housekeeper and a good cook, especially making good do-nuts. she was a mid-wife and attended the sick and afflicted in the community, and cared for her aged mother many years. She met her many pioneer problems with courage and determination, and was a dedicated Latter Day Saint and vigorously defended the Principles and taught her chidren and grandchildren the worth of the Gospel. She is revered and honored today for her deep devotion and faithfulness to her family and Chruch.
