      Funeral services for William Henry Cook, 73, who died Thursday at his home, will be conducted Monday at 2 p.m. in Cedar Valley Ward Chapel, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, by Ernil Cook, bishop.
      Friends may call at the family residence Sunday evening and Monday prior to funeral. Burial will be in Cedar valley Cemetery.

      Death of Mrs. Alice C. Cook: Husband And Brother in Hospital

      Cedar Fort, Utah Co., Nov. 22, B Mrs. Alice Chamberlain Cook died here Saturday leaving her husband and three children, the youngest nine days old. Ten minutes before her death her husband, William H. Cook, was taken from the house and conveyed to Salt Lake where he underwent an operation for appendicitis yesterday at the Groves L.D.S. hospital. Mrs. Cook's brother, Edward Chamberlain, was operated upon for hernia at American Fork today. Altogether the family are having a series of troubles. Mr. Cook is reported progressing favorably. The funeral of Mrs. Cook was held at the ward house this afternoon, Consoling remarks were made by Bishop William Cook, Counselor J.E. Garns, Elder B. W. Driggs, President S.L. Chipman and John Drysdale. Mrs. Cook was beloved by all and was a devoted Church woman. She was the daughter of James and Fanny Chamberlain, born in this place 29 years ago.       OBITUARY: CEDAR FORT DEATH OF JOHN COOK Veteran and Pioneer Succumbs to Long Illness - To Increase Water Supply

      Cedar Fort, Utah Co., Feb. 18. - John Cook died at his residence here last night after a lingering illness. He was born at Comstock, Kalamazoo county, Mich., May 22, 1838; was the son of the late Bishop Henry F. and Sophronia Strobridge Cook. The family moved to Nauvoo, Ill., in the year 1846, two months later they moved to Des Moines, Ia., and a few months later to Pottawattami county. In the year 1852 the Cook family came to Utah, stopping at Union fort, Salt Lake county, till the next year, when they moved to Cedar Fort, where they have since resided. Deceased married Miss Sarah Quayle Jan. 5, 1871. He leaves a wife and eight children, three having preceded him to the great beyond. Br. Cook has been an energetic man, always staking an active interest in the growth of the great beyond. Bro. Cook has been petitions against the Indians. He was an honest, industrious man, and generally respected. Two of his sons are living in Canada.
      An effort is being made here to increase the water supply of the town; two companies have been organized to develop prospects in the hills by tunneling into the mountain.
      There is an epidemic of colds and pneumonia in the ward.
