He settled in Chesterfield, probably about 1771.
He lived on the hill west of the lake, on he farm now (1882) owned and occupied by William Bennett, Esquire.
He is said to have helped build the 'old meeting house.'
He was at the battle of Bennington, being a member of Captain Carlton's company.
It is also said that he was never known 'to whistle, sing, or use profane language.'

Aaron married Tabitha Metcalf in 1772. Tabitha was born in 1752 in Holliston, Middlesex, Massachusetts; died on 15 May 1818 in Chesterfield, Cheshire, New Hampshire. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
